Is it Possible to Change Rules of Religion?

Every person in this world wishes to live forever. No one wishes death for self. This is not true for human beings only but also true for animal, birds, fish and all those who have life. I remember a story. This may be true or falls is immaterial. Lesson in the story is important. A rishi came to know that in next birth he would take birth as a pig. Naturally he did not like it. So he asked one of his students to kill that pig. He gave all details of location and description. In due course of time, the student found the pig and lifted a stone to kill. However, the pig requested him ‘not to kill’. This shows that every one likes to live.

Bharat i.e. India

We as Indians are bound to our national constitution. As a living person in this world we are bound to equal right for every member of our society (i.e. citizen). It is incorrect to take false help from religion. The only religion in the universe is with fundamental philosophy of "Help Others" Not only human beings but animal also stay in groups. The reason is simple. Group strength is much higher than individual strength. Now when a group is made, it is essential that it should be cohesive. Else if it splits, in enemy attack everyone is liable to die or at least get enslaved. To avoid such danger and keep the group members together selfless intelligent persons who had full knowledge of group members made rules to be followed by every member. These rules were made binding on all under every circumstance. These rules specified how to help under different circumstances. In order that members follow rules intelligent persons made some provision and also embedded in the mind of every member that those rules can’t be changed. In practice study of the world history shows such intelligent persons were born all over the world who preached with sole aim of keeping group (later known as society and today, nation) together so that the group survives against enemy attacks. Thus sole purpose of religious rules had been to ensure integrity of the society. Naturally the rules shall vary with time, location and the society. This clarifies why the rules are different for people living in different locations. We must accept this and make changes in rules. Already we have made changes in rules. Consider idol worship. This was followed all over the world for unknown number of years. However, it's extreme use was found hindrance by Prophet & the Son of the God and was deleted from books and practice. In India there had been a rule that if husband dies the wife also must die. This rule was changed with time. As on today widows are allowed to remarry. Similarly there is a rule followed by a few people for divorce. Man is allowed to say no to marriage and the society considers that the woman is divorced. Today we consider women equal to men in every respect. This has sound backing from our constitution. Hence, there is inescapable necessity to make equal rules for men and women. This means either similar right be given to women or withdraw man’s right. The later alternative appears to be right. Let man and women be given equal opportunity to plead their individual case in front of a knowledgeable person and let the person take decision.

Divorce can’t be considered as religious aspect because it is not fundamental philosophy. It is a rule framed at certain time, at certain place and for a particular society. Hence, it can be changed under changed circumstances. All should think over this and give a nod for change of this particular rule.

घटस्फोट व एक सारखे अधिकार।

सध्या नवऱ्याने तीनदा तलाक हा शब्द उच्चारला तर स्त्रीला घटोस्फोट दिला असे मुस्लीम धर्मात समजले जाते. त्यामुळे कित्येक तरुणीची आयुष्ये कोलमडली आहेत. या मध्ये मुख्यत्वे अशिक्षित तरुणी खूप आहेत. १६ व्या वर्षी लग्न व १८ व्या वर्षी तलाक (घटस्फोट) अशी खूप उदाहरणे आहेत. याविरुद्ध मुस्लिम समाजाने विशेषतः मुस्लिम तरुण-तरुणीनी आवाज उठवला पाहिजे. या मधील यश त्यांचे ऐतिहासिक यश म्हणून नोंदले जाईल.

मानवाने धर्माची आवश्यकता मानवजातिच्या सुरक्षितेसाठी ओळखली. शत्रूवर मात करण्याकरिता ताकद आवश्यक आहे. ही ताकद प्रत्येकाकडे असते परंतु, कित्येक वेळेला शत्रू जास्त प्रबऴ असू शकतो. जर दोन तीन मानव एकत्र आले तर त्यांची शक्ती शत्रूपेक्षा जास्त किंवा तुल्यबळ असू शकते. म्हणजेच जितकी मानवांची संख्या जास्त तितकी शक्ती जास्त हे मानवालाच काय पशू पक्ष्यांना सुद्धा समजले. त्यामुळे सर्व सजीवानी कळपात राहण्याला प्राधान्य दिले. मानव सुरवातीला या समूहाला टोळी म्हणून ओळखत असे. कालांतराने त्या समूहाला समाज व सध्या देश म्हणून ओळखले जाते. सध्या भारताचा दबदबा सर्वत्र ओळखला जातो कारण भारताची लोकसंख्या मोठी आहे व त्यात तरुण इतर देशांच्या तुलनेत जास्त प्रमाणात आहेत. भारताने जी राज्य घटना स्वीकारली आहे त्यामध्ये समानतेचा एक महत्वाचा व मुलभूत अधिकारात बसणारा मुद्दा आहे. म्हणजेच प्रत्येक व्यक्ति दुसऱ्या व्यक्तिपेक्षा कनिष्ठ अथवा उच्च असू शकत नाही. धर्माच्या बाजूने विचार केला तर धर्माचे मूल तत्व “मदत करा” हे आहे इतर सर्व हे तत्व निरनिराळ्या परिस्थितीत कसे पाळावयाचे/आचरणात आणावयाचे, हे सर्वसामान्यांना समजण्याकरिता नियम किंवा कायदे या साच्यात बनविले आहेत. हे कायदे कमीत कमी तीन गोष्टीवर अवलंबून असतात. त्या म्हणजे काळ, स्थान व टोळी किंवा समाज किंवा राष्ट्र. भारताने सतीप्रथेला तिलांजली दिली कारण ती कालबाह्य झाली. हे तत्व वापरुन भारताने घटस्फोटाच्या कायद्यातही राज्य घटनेच्या चौकटीत बदल घडवून आणावेत. अर्थात यामध्ये पुढाकार घेण्याची जबाबदारी ज्यांना याचा फटका बसतो त्यांचीच. इतरानी मदत जरुर करावी परंतु, पुढाकार घेऊ नये अथवा उपाकाराची भावना ठेऊ नये.
