Help others is Religion

Help others is Religion:
Fundamental Philosophy of religion is “Help Others”. Survival needs strength to fight and win over enemies. Individual strength has limits but no limit for collective strength. More the number greater is the strength. This means group strength is greater than individual strength. It’s obvious that a person would help other person provided he/she is certain that as and when help is needed the same shall be available. Thus help others is a slogan for making a group and ensuring its survival. Thus there had been a need to have some understanding among persons so that possibility of survival of every person improves. Possibly this had been the basis for religion. We can easily conclude that there is a single religion with fundamental philosophy of “help others”

Is it Possible to Change Rules of Religion?

The Earth
Every person in this world wishes to live forever. No one wishes death for self. This is not true for human beings only but also true for animal, birds, fish and all those who have life. I remember a story. This may be true or falls is immaterial. Lesson in the story is important. A rishi came to know that in next birth he would take birth as a pig. Naturally he did not like it. So he asked one of his students to kill that pig. He gave all details of location and description. In due course of time, the student found the pig and lifted a stone to kill. However, the pig requested him ‘not to kill’. This shows that every one likes to live.

Catch Them Young: BharatMata Ki Jay

Hindus and Muslims in India

Hindus and Muslims in India:-

I received an email from one of my friends. This gives quotes from renowned scholars and politicians about Islam and Muslims in India. I have no knowledge about authenticity about quotes. Little study of quotes show that whoever collected these must have audited and taken only a particular portion which supports individual’s views. Person whoever collected quotes and did proof reading has no clear concepts of religion and secularism. Ancient Indians considered religion in 2 parts first philosophy (termed as Vedanta)and second laws and rules (termed as Smriti). When people say that the religion is established by the god probably they mean that the philosophy of religion is formed by the god. This is the reason why every person in this world believes in certain principles like truth, life and alike. This does mean that in the entire universe there is a single religion established by an unknown energy (or power). We find hundreds of religion on earth itself. The reason as explained by Swami Vivekanandais Smriti. Laws and rules are framed for a certain society in certain place and at certain time. It is acceptable that these would vary. We are making mistake in considering these rules (Smriti) as religion and giving importance to such things which are neither universal nor eternal. The basic concept or philosophy of religion is explained by Maharshi Vyasa in just 2 lines. These are (1) Paropkaray Punyay (2) Papay parpeedanam. ‘Paropkar’ in Sanskrit means work done for others. Punya means religious (accepted by religion). Papa means against religion. Papeeda means trouble given to others. Thus whoever lives in a society can follow religion by “Helping others” So called religions known to any one follows this principle or philosophy. Thus there is no reason why we should consider Muslims are different than Indians based on ‘Religion criteria’. Other point of discussion may be the God. Muslims believe in the single god. On the other hand Hindus believe in 33 crore (330 million) gods and that to residing in stomach of a cow. There is explanation for this also inancient Indian literature. In ancient India it was believed that in a society there would be 4 types of human beings. They are categorised based on their contribution for others in the society. Those who do positive contribution even at his/her own cost is considered as the god. This means there is no limit for number of the gods. Secondly, cow in words of Swatantryaveer Savarkar is a useful animal irrespective of age of a cow. This belief in society that the gods reside in her stomach might be for ensuring safety of cow (None in the society would dare to kill cow).

What is Blind Faith (Andhshraddha)?

What isBlind Faith (Andhshraddha)?

Maharshi Vyasa and Ganesha

Is Ancient Indian Religion Universal and/or Eternal?

System and Surroundings
Interaction across Boundaries
There is aconcept of system in today's science. System has been defined as a space with boundaries. Boundaries need not be of regular shape. Outside the system boundaries the space is known as surroundings. System and surroundings make the universe. System is a space of interest in the universe. The boundaries may be loose or tight meaning interaction between the system and the surroundings is allowed or not. Transfer of energy between system and the surroundings takes place if theboundaries allow the same. Energy of the system will remain constant and shall not increase or reduce if the boundaries are tight.

Should Lord Rama be the Idol of all Indians?

A large majority of Indians (Over 80%) consider Lord Rama as the god. In reality he cannot be the god. Maharshi (Great saint) divides people in 4 groups. First those who help others even at their own cost. Such This category is termed as Dev (The god). Second category is those who help others but not at their own cost. This category is labeled as Manav (Human beings). Third category is of persons who never help any one else but harm every one but never at their own cost. This category is Danav (Demon). Last category is or persons who harm others even at their own cost. They are named as Rakshas (Sorry I don't know equivalent English word). Ram had been in the fist category so was the god. He is worshiped by all because of his character and strength. A large population of Indian Muslims are misguided

Are Christens and Muslims Idol Worshipers?

Original concept had been to have a visible object to understand the god. Pastors for their selfish interests made people believe in that the idol itself is the god. Offerings to the god were channelised through these pastors. This did created problems and hence, scholars of religion took a different stand and banned worship of an idol.

Religion: Universal Brotherhood

Indian philosophy considers that there is only 1 religion in the universe. Therefore, there is no need to name a religion. This aspect was brought out and preached by Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji believed that Indian philosophy states that religion has 2 parts. The first part is philosophy. Philosophy gives general outline and direction for behaviour of persons while they are working in a society. This part is universal and eternal. Swamiji stated that Indian name for this is “Vedanta” The second part is laws and rules for specific situation. This is named as “Smriti” Smriti is neither universal nor eternal. Minimum factors governing Smriti are place, time and society. Smriti guides people in society in respect of behaviour in society under different circumstances. Vedanta and Smriti form a religion. Therefore, it is incorrect to compare religions based on Smriti. On same analogy no religion can be superior or inferior to any other religion. This is understandable because Vedanta part, is exactly same to every religion. The name differs only because of Smriti. Smriti is neither universal nor eternal. It changes with time, place and society. Hence, understanding a person based on religion is wrong.

Accounting Karma:

Karma account is not for an individual karma. Whenever a person does some thing he/she thinks about many other things. May be some actions are simultaneous. Accounting is done for a group of karma including thinking.

There is only One God in the Universe

Concept of the god had been invented by all scholars who preached a specific religion. This had been their imagination. However, this concept had been highly useful for controlling a society.

Why People Worship an Idol?

Logical thinking shows that idol worship had been a necessity of people in early days of civilisation. If we study various principles of management it is a common experience that visual effects are the most effective. This is the reason why television got immediate response over radio.

Barest minimum requirement for worship:

Except the word "GOD" we hardly know any thing about the god. Scholars on the subject have told us that the god is almighty, omnipresent, well posted about every person on the earth and rewards/punishes based on the individual karma. In fact they have imbibed the concept of the god in such a manner that it is highly useful for every society.

Was Lord Shree Krishna the God?

Lord Shree Krishna
Indians consider Lord Shree Krishna as the God. As per the definition given by Maharshi (a saint and scholar) Yvaas he was the god. However, he was not the born god. He became god because of his personal qualities like selflessness, care taker of then existing society, intelligence, devotion to Karma, ready to work for the society even at his own cost and alike.
