Town Planning in Smart City

Development of villages/towns/cities is undertaken for centuries. However, it is noticed by a common man that same mistakes or shortcomings are repeated over and over again. Some examples are non availability of safe footpath/sidewalk for use by pedestrians, non availability of public sanitary facilities within reach; specially for women, absence of traffic control etc. Although, solution can be easily found for these needs, in practice these are always neglected. Negligence can be considered as main hindrance. Space can be found even in existing places. New places must be planned considering all needs irrespective whether big or small, less or more important etc. Common man expects many things from smart city. You may glance at expectations.  In development of villages or rurl area there is an inescapable need of educating villagers about the government plans. All social workers and those in administration must give due consideration to this need.

Comparing Nations in the World for Human Development (HDI):

Read about Aadhaar Card

India has included 2 more words in her constitution. These are Socialism and secularism The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistical tool used to measure a country's overall achievement in its social and economic dimensions. Detailed information on this is available here. http://www.arab-hdr.org/publications/contents/2002/ch1-e.pdf Social and economic dimensions of a country are based on the health of people, their level of education and their standard of living. Calculation of the index combines four major indicators: life expectancy for health, expected years of schooling, mean of years of schooling for education and Gross National Income per capita for standard of living. HDI is one of the best tools to keep track of the level of development of a country, as it combines all major social, secular and economic indicators, responsible for economic development. Every year UNDP ranks countries based on the HDI report included in their annual report. It is found that some countries with lots of income do not always spend that money in ways that create high life expectancies or education levels. Mathematical expression for estimating the index is as under.

General Elections 2014 in India:

General election for parliament (Loksabha) and some of the state Legislative Assemblies are due during the year 2014. Present analyses indicate that no single party can gain even simple majority in the house. Hence, government would be formed after some of the parties combine together for the purpose of proving majority for forming government. These parties may claim that they would be working based on a common minimum programme acceptable to all parties. However, in practice the picture is different. Each and every party is interested in implementing individual party programme. The only common programme implemented is grabbing every opportunity for improving self state of every member of the house, both ruling and in opposition. There is a need to deal with such a possibility. Amalgamation of parties is no solution. In my opinion the concept of ruling party and opposition party must change. When every member of the house wants (at least theoretically) improvement in the condition of a common man why there should be a party in opposition. All members must be considered on the same side of the fence. If this concept is accepted then a solution is available for suchresults of election(s).

Does Super Cine Star Shahrukh Khan feel unsafe in India?

Answer to this question is big “NO” However, he has many times put it straight that he faced troubles because of  Khan connected to his name. He did undergo check at an airport in USA when he went to America 2 years back (2010). Since this incidence, he is bit worried about how people would accept him. This doesn’t mean that he feels unsafe for life. He is a great actor. His career is in full swing. If people reject him because he is Khan then his career as an actor would come to an end. Hence the feeling of “unsafe” is not on account of life but career. There is one more aspect. He being a celebrity and people do listen to celebrity, media persons ask his opinion about extremists attacks in India. Were he a Hindu, probably, media would not have asked this question. In a general sense it is incorrect to ask such a  question just because he is a Muslim.

India i.e. Bharat Needs to Face These Challenges:

BharatMata
Every country in the world faces challenges all the time. However India is facing grave problems as on date. Theses are specially related to Security, Democracy and Development. Extremist attacks, Naxlite/Maoist attacks and Corrupt Politicians are major issues need to be resolved to save sovereignty of India and her Common Man. Security is in danger because the government is yet to take steps to raise suitable force to fight and demolish all bastard who are challenging her government and the people. A sizeable group of politicians help these bastards. Almost 30% of politicians are charged with grave charges like murder, rape, robbery and alike. Democracy is in danger due to Common Man is indifferent to exercising his fundamental right to vote, candidates contesting election spend crores of rupees for self propaganda. Money and Muscle power is rampant. India needs to face these problems first. Economy and development would automatically follow if security to people and corruption free administration is established in all sectors i.e. politics, government, semi-government and private sectors.

Is Town Planning Department responsible for problems?

In India it is a daily problem to find suitable and adequate space for facilities needed by citizens. A police station or a police post is needed. However no suitable space is given by the local government office. A post office is necessary but can't be provided for want of space. Women need public lavatories when they come out of house. However in public area none is available. (Presently this problem is hot in Pune city of Maharashtra state).

Is it possible to do away with Caste System in India

Higher Caste Person beats Low Caste Person
Caste system is known in Hindi (Indian language) as Jati (Caste) Jo Jatee Nahi (is eternal). Not that caste system is new thing to the world. It always exists everywhere. However, there is a great difference in caste system followed in India and all other countries in the world. In India caste is related to 'Roti' and 'Beti'. This means eating together and marriages are decided based on caste of a person.

Language for Communication:

This is not a new concept. Leaders in India have thought over this for over hundred years. No conclusive and accepted solution by all, has yet been found though. Many of the national leaders accepted Hindi as the contact language for Indians. There had been resistance to this specially from southern states.

A film story

Indians are film lovers. Many films give message and Indian do care for those messages. Some of the films have changed Indians. In my opinion this quality should be utilised  by film makes. There is no need to be afraid off that the film may not run for weeks. It can become a memorable film if it contains masala with message.

Town Planning for India:

At the start of civilisation the basic need was food and water. Rivers could provide these needs so the settlement continued where water was easily available. Things changed as the man found methods to carry water and transportation became fundamental need of the man. Therefore, communication methods gained priority over water. Today, development takes place along the road or railway or sea shore or rivers with water round the year etc. meaning facility of transportation. Town planning also takes this in to consideration apart from other indexes like pollution, trees, environment etc. While doing this advantage of existing cities and infrastructure available should be taken in to consideration. In short future planning should develop communication system first, and then establish townships.
