Practical tips for safety of a woman:

1. As per Indian Penal Code 233. If a girl is suspected to be raped or getting raped, then she has the supreme right to *kill* the man, or *harm* that person as dangerously and girl won't be blamed for *murder*.
2. What should a woman do if she finds herself alone in the company of a stranger male as she enters a lift in a High Rise apartment late at night  She after entering lift  must press all the buttons up to her destination so that the lift stops at every floor till she reaches destination floor. This will make impossible for male to attack or molest the woman.
3. When a stranger tries to attack lonely woman in her house best alternative is the woman should run into the kitchen where chili powder and turmeric are kept. Also the woman knows where knives and plates are kept. Use these as deadly weapons. Alternatively start throwing plates and utensils all over & break while making noise. Also the woman should scream as loudly as possible. Noise is the greatest enemy of a molester. He would run away to avoid getting caught.
4. Before getting into an auto /taxi at night note down its registration number. Also use camera in mobile to take photo of driver and place. Woman should send this to family & friend in the language the driver understands. Call family & even if no answer pretend you are in a conversation. The driver must knows that his details are with some one & he will be in serious trouble if he does something wrong. The woman converts potential attacker in to a de facto protector using this method.
5. If the woman finds the driver taking vehicle on unknown street she should use one of these. Purse handle or stole (dupatta) or collar of driver’s shirt and pull him back so he feels choked and helpless. Top button of driver’s  shirt also make him choke.
6. If a woman is stalked at night she should enter a shop or a house and explain her situation &  predicament. Even ATM centers would be suitable because it is equipped with close circuit television. Attacker would know this and would be afraid of because of fear of identification.
7. Mentally alert is the greatest weapon for a woman.

Independent efforts are made all over the world to destroy terrorists in a traditional manner. USA is a strong nation in many aspects and is proud to kill terrorists. Other countries feel happy when more terrorists are killed at the cost of lesser number of national forces. However, it is like demons taking birth from every drop of blood of killed terrorists. In order to find a solution a deep thinking is needed to understand why terrorists have become terrorists. Study shall show that those persons who become terrorists are followers of religion with blind faith. They fail to understand why religion was developed and what had been advantages of the same. Why laws were made and why some of those have become redundant. Grownup terrorists may not be able to digest this but children would accept scientific explanation.  Killing terrorist who have blind faith in their action would not produce results. Each drop of blood of killed terrorist would create new terrorist. Hence, it is advantageous and advisable to hammer concept and laws of universal religion and basically onchildren.

भारताचे माजी दिवंगत राष्ट्रपति डॉ. एपीजे अब्दुलकलाम यांच्याकडे सत्ता असताना सुद्धा त्यांनी प्रौढाऐवजी लहान मुलांनाच शिकविणे पसंत केले. यामागे त्यांना असणारी खात्री. मुले कोठलीही गोष्ट समजाऊन घेतात व ती आचरणात आणण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. ही मुले ज्ञानी लोकांचा आदर करतात व त्यांच्या पावलावर पाऊल टाकून जीवनात पुढे जाण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. सध्या प्रकर्षाने जाणवणाऱ्या दोन गोष्टी आहेत. पहिली “भारत माता की जय।” व दुसरी “स्त्रियां व पुरुष एक समान” या दोन्ही बाबतीत आपण समाजाला नवीन गोष्टी स्वीकारण्यास वेळ देत नाही असे माझे मत आहे. डॉ. कलाम असते तर त्यांनी या देन्ही गोष्टी शाळेतल्या मुलांना सांगितल्या असत्या. त्या सांगताना मुलांना समजणाऱ्या भाषेत व सर्व कारणासह सांगितल्या असत्या. “भारतमाता की जय।” याबद्दल सांगताना त्यांनी धर्मस्थापनेपासून सुरवात केली असती.

शासनाच्या म्हणण्याप्रमाणे दुष्काळग्रस्तांना मदत केली जात आहे. काँग्रेसपक्षाच्या मते कर्जमाफी हीच मदत दिली पाहिजे. तसे पाहवयास गेले तर कोआॉपरेटिव्ह बँकाच शेतकऱ्यांना मदत करतात व त्या वाचविण्याकरिता बँकानी दिलेली कर्जे फेडली गेली पाहिजेत. थोडक्यात बँका वाचविणे महत्वाचे आहे व ते करण्याकरिता शेतकऱ्यांची कर्जे शासनाने फेडली पाहिजेत. या चष्म्यातून पाहिले तर काँग्रेसची मागणी पूर्णपणे बरोबर वाटते. परंतु, सध्या प्रथम आवश्यकता आहे, माणसे व जनावरे यांच्या पोटापाण्याची व्यवस्था करणे. पुणे व मुंबईत तसेच इतर शहरात कित्येक कुटुंबप्रमुख काम शोधण्याकरिता आले आहेत. येथे त्यांना पुरेसे काम मिळत नाहीच वर शहरातील खर्च भागवून घरी काय पाठवावयाचे याची चिंता त्यांना खात आहे. यातूनच आत्महत्या सूरू होतील.

Government of India, in fact NaMoJi is very particular about smart cities. He has declared that 100 existing cities would be converted in to smart cities in India. For this purpose G of I and concerned state government shall provide Rs. 1000 crores (Probably this money may be per annum). Rest of the expenditure is from the resources of the city concerned. After spending huge money may I expect the smart city would be having following facilities?

1.      There is a problem of people coming to city to earn livelihood. These people initially stay on footpath and then find some vacant place and construct shacks as residential arrangement. Would this smart city have a solution for this? Would there be temporary sheds to accommodate job seekers and then find them permanent accommodation?

2.      Those who are staying in shacks (JJ colonies) need permanent houses. Would they get such houses at the rate construction cost at nearest location?

Survey shows that India needs approximately 100 million houses, mostly in urban area. Housing in rural area appears to be not considered in the survey. Demand for housing in rural area is for want of funds needed for housing. People do want better houses with sanitary facilities in rural area also. On account of poverty people in rural area don't think about a better housing and are forced to be satisfied with shacks they possess. The second difficulty is land for housing in urban area. Present practice is to add villages on periphery of a city or town to make available land for housing of urban needs. While doing these services are not considered. Once housing projects get completed people occupy those and then find many problems like water, transport, electricity, sewage disposal, marketing and so on. The present method is trying to place cart in front of a horse and expect the horse to pull the cart.

Maharshi Vyasa had been highly intelligent, well versed, knowledgeable personality during the time period of Mahabharata in India. Maharshi was always in search of knowledge used to take great pleasure in learning even from illiterate persons. For this he used to travel all the time throughout India. Once he was resting near a village. Villagers wanted to know about religion. They found this as a great opportunity to learn from the greatest all time scholar. They requested him to explain religion in short and in simple words. Maharshi told them fundamental principle of religion in just two simple words. परोपकाराय पुण्याय। meaning Help Others.

अमरावतीच्या एका माननियानी ब्राह्मण समाजाचे कोतुक केले आहे. कौतुक करणे तसे चांगले असते. परंतु, त्याचा अर्थ असाही होत नाही की, त्या समाजात फक्त सद्गुणच आहेत. चांगले ते घ्यावे या विचाराप्रमाणे चांगल्या गोष्टी दाखविणे कधीही चांगलेच. तसेच त्याबरोबर विश्लेषण केले तर दुधात साखर. समाजातील गुण-अवगुणांची जननी म्हणजे संस्कार. मुलाच्या (या मध्ये मुलगीही आली) जन्मापासून संस्कार घडविले जातात. त्या मध्ये कांही जाणीवपूर्वक घडवावे लागतात तर कित्येक निरीक्षणातून घडविले जातात. मूल नेहमी अवती भोवती पाहत असते, ऐकत असते व जे पाहिले ऐकले ते स्वतः करून पाहण्याचा प्रयत्न करते. त्यातूनच ते घडले जाते व आपले स्वतःचे व्यक्तिमत्व निर्माण करते. कोणत्याही समाजाचे गुण-अवगुण त्या समाजातील व्यक्तिवरुन ओळखता येतात. व्यक्ति संस्कारातून घडविली जाते. म्हणूनच संस्कार हे महत्वाचे आहेत.

I received an email from one of my friends. This gives quotes from renowned scholars and politicians about Islam and Muslims in India. I have no knowledge about authenticity about quotes. Little study of quotes show that whoever collected these must have audited and taken only a particular portion which supports individual’s views. Person whoever collected quotes and did proof reading has no clear concepts of religion and secularism. Ancient Indians considered religion in 2 parts first philosophy (termed as Vedanta)and second laws and rules (termed as Smriti). When people say that the religion is established by the god probably they mean that the philosophy of religion is formed by the god. This is the reason why every person in this world believes in certain principles like truth, life and alike. This does mean that in the entire universe there is a single religion established by an unknown energy (or power). We find hundreds of religion on earth itself. The reason as explained by Swami Vivekanandais Smriti. Laws and rules are framed for a certain society in certain place and at certain time. It is acceptable that these would vary. We are making mistake in considering these rules (Smriti) as religion and giving importance to such things which are neither universal nor eternal. The basic concept or philosophy of religion is explained by Maharshi Vyasa in just 2 lines. These are (1) Paropkaray Punyay (2) Papay parpeedanam. ‘Paropkar’ in Sanskrit means work done for others. Punya means religious (accepted by religion). Papa means against religion. Papeeda means trouble given to others. Thus whoever lives in a society can follow religion by “Helping others” So called religions known to any one follows this principle or philosophy. Thus there is no reason why we should consider Muslims are different than Indians based on ‘Religion criteria’. Other point of discussion may be the God. Muslims believe in the single god. On the other hand Hindus believe in 33 crore (330 million) gods and that to residing in stomach of a cow. There is explanation for this also inancient Indian literature. In ancient India it was believed that in a society there would be 4 types of human beings. They are categorised based on their contribution for others in the society. Those who do positive contribution even at his/her own cost is considered as the god. This means there is no limit for number of the gods. Secondly, cow in words of Swatantryaveer Savarkar is a useful animal irrespective of age of a cow. This belief in society that the gods reside in her stomach might be for ensuring safety of cow (None in the society would dare to kill cow).

येथे दोन गोष्टी नमूद करावयाशा वाटतात. पहिली महाराष्ट्र हे प्रगत राज्य समजले जात असले तरी जगज्जेेत्या सिकंदरासारखी स्थिती अजून तरी झाली नाही. म्हणजेच विकासाला भरपूर वाव आहे. दुसरी गोष्ट पी. पी. पी म्हणजे शासनाची खाजगी व्यक्ति अथवा संस्थांशी भागिदारी. ही भागीदारी एखाद्या व्यक्ति अथवा खाजगी संस्थेशी न करता सार्वजनिक सहकारी संस्थेशी तसेच नागरिकांशी करावी. यावर बरेच अक्षेप घेतले जातील, राजकारणी व बाबू निकराचा प्रतिकार करतील. तरी सुद्धा नागरिकांचे हित जपण्याकरिता हे पाऊल उचललेच पाहिजे. विकासकामे करण्याकरिता निधी हा मोठा प्रश्न आहे. त्यावर मात करणे अवघड असले तरी अशक्य नाही. पैसा नाही म्हणून हातावर हात बांधून बसण्याऐवजी उपलब्ध निधीमध्ये जास्तीत जास्त फायदा देणारे काय काम करता येईल त्याचा विचार व्हावा. उदाहरणार्थ कालवे बांधण्याकरिता पैसे नाहित म्हणून काम थांबवू नये. कालवे बांधण्याकरिता काय करावे लागते त्याचा विचार करावा म्हणजेच, जमीन ताब्यात घेणे, खोदाई करणे, पाणी गळती थांबविण्या करिता कालव्याला अस्तर देणे, कालवा ओढ्या-नाल्यावरून जेथे जातो तेथे पूल बांधणे, निरनिराळी जलनियोजन यंत्रणा बसविणे वगैरे. जमीन ताब्यात घेण्याकरिता कालव्याला लागणाऱ्या जागेच्या 10 ते 20 पट जागेचा विचार करावा. समजा 20 पट जागेचा विचार करणे शक्य असेल तर विचारात घेतलेल्या जागेची 5 टक्के प्रत्येकाची जागा कमी करून फेर वाटणी करावी. असे केले तर कालवा व त्या लगतच्या रस्त्याकरिता पुरेशी जागा ताब्यात घेता येईल. जागेच्या मोबदल्याकरिता दोन पर्याय देता येतील. पहिला पर्याय विचारात घेतलेल्या जमीनीमध्ये विहीर काढून पाणी घेणारांना कालवा अस्तित्वात असे पर्यंत पाणी मोफत द्यावे व कालवा बंद झाल्यास त्या जमीनीचे पहिल्यासारखे फेरवाटप व्हावे. दुसरा पर्याय ज्या शेतकऱ्यांनी 5 टक्के जागा दिली त्यांना नोंदणी करिता ठरविलेला मोबदला रोख द्यावा. माझ्या समजुतीप्रमाणे जमीनमालक पहिला पर्याय निवडतील. काही लोक आक्षेप घेतील की, कालव्याचे पाणी जमीनीत मुरुन वाया जाईल. पाणी जमीनीत मुरेल परंतु वाया जाणार नाही. जमीनीतून उपसून ते परत मिळविता येईल. या प्रकारे पाणी उपश्यावर कर आकारल्यामुळे पाणी उपसा कमी होईल व शासनाला थोडाफार निधी गोळा करता येईल. प्रत्येक विकासकामाचे अशा प्रकारे पृथक्करण करून उपलब्ध निधीमध्ये कामे करता येतील. अधिक माहिती येथे पाहावी.
