Space for Trees, Sellers, Public Amenities Etc.

There is a need to find space for requirements like footpath sellers, trees, the god, public amenities etc. If this is not done no law or police can keep footpath free of encroachment.
People buy from footpath sellers so they are there, people worship god located on footpath so places of worship are on the footpath. This is a need of people and hence it must be taken care of while planning architecture of roads. A corridor or lane should be planned for all these purpose. Approximately 2 to 3 metre wide lane between vehicle traffic lane and footpath should be an ideal proposition. This should be arranged in such way that it should be blocked from roadside by a wall say 1 to 1.5 metre high and open towards the footpath. Also it should be little higher in level than footpath. This space should be used for all other purpose like planting trees, footpath sellers, electricity distribution boards, and amenities like urinals/lavatory, fast food providers, bus stops, auto rickshaw stand and any other purpose not covered by   road/footpath except parking of vehicles.
