आपल्याला सर्वजण सांगतात की मतदान हे पवित्र कर्तव्य आहे. म्हणजे प्रत्येकाने (ज्याला मतदानाचा अधिकार आहे त्याने) हे कर्तव्यनिभावले पाहिजे. दान हे आपल्या (भारताच्या) संस्कृतीत एक पवित्र कर्तव्य म्हणून मान्य केले आहे. सक्षम व्यक्तिने पात्र व्यक्तिला दानदिले पाहिजे हे आपण आपल्या इतिहासापासून, शिकवणीतून शिकलो आहोत.

माझे मत कोणाला?

वाहनचालकांनीच काय, पादचाऱ्यांनी सुद्धा मनावर ताबा ठेवला पाहिजे. स्वयंशिस्त व मनांवरील ब्रेक हे उत्तम. परंतु, सर्वसाधारणपणेबंडखोर वृत्ती व जवळचा मार्ग शोधण्याची लालसा मनांवर ताबा ठेवण्यास प्रतिबंध करतात. त्या करता नियम पाळावयास लावणे हे शासनाचे कर्तव्य आहे. रस्ताबांधणीतून हे थोडे फार साध्य होईल.रस्त्यावरील अपघातांची अनेक कारणे आहेत.
सर्व कारणांची मीमांसा करुन त्यवर उपाय योजावे लागतील. मला समजलेली कारणे खाली देत आहे. त्या मध्ये सर्वांनी भर घालण्याचे आवाहन करतो.
