What do Farmers expect from the Government? Is it possible to make a Common Man RICH?
Farmer can be easily freed from the clutches
of loans from various agencies. Example of a politician is quite important to
understand how to become rich in a few years. Contractors and traders also know
ways and means to make money. They take little more time though. In fact the
government should make provision of training classes from these successful
persons to farmers. Once the farmers are well trained there is no need to waive
off loans taken by farmers. In fact the situation could be reversed. However,
in democracy no one can be forced even for good cause. Hence we must consider
some time consuming solutions too.
It is well known that prices of commodities in market are controlled by availability and demand for the commodity. Generally demand for food product or farm produce remains constant during entire year with small exception but the supply position varies throughout the year. The exception in respect of need is because of people who make provision for storage on yearly basis. The government should take responsibility of secured storage of all products and produce from farms. This responsibility could be delegated to banks and similar finance providers. Citizens also can help by storing their own annual needs. The government may provide some subsidy for such annual purchases by the citizens. The amount of subsidy may be calculated based on expenditure on account of provision of secured storage for the farm produce.
India is facing shortage of power. If farmers
are employed to produce electricity from the solar energy it shall help farmers
personally and the nation which is facing a big energy crisis. India is blessed
with banking system which is least worried about NPA. This system knows how to
survive and face the problem. Farmers should be encouraged to form
cooperative societies for converting solar energy into electricity. The
government should buy this power and distribute wherever it is needed. Our
banking sector would allow an increase in NPA due to loans sanctioned to
farmers’ cooperative societies for harnessing solar power for producing
electricity.
Apart from such projects, farmers should be
helped through a minor secondary business like the production of chicken, eggs, and
goats. In order to help farmers in dictating rate for their products, the
government should provide preservation, storage of farm products and loan on
stored products till those are sold in the market. This shall ensure that
farmers never need freedom from loans and never commit suicide. This is not
only applicable to farmers alone but to every citizen. Politicians can help in educating
a common man how to become rich in shortest possible time. This way younger
parties can grow quickly & become
permanent rulers.
Politicians should not forget to educate as
many persons as specified by party so that Bharat becomes rich as in past and
is recognized by its name “Sone Ki Chidiya” (सोने की चिडिया)
