Does severe Punishment Discourage People to Commit Crime?:

It is believed that fear of severe punishment keeps people away from crimes. Till a few years back death had been punishment for murder all over the globe. However, murders continued and the statistics show no change in rate of murder crime.

Are Christens and Muslims Idol Worshipers?

Original concept had been to have a visible object to understand the god. Pastors for their selfish interests made people believe in that the idol itself is the god. Offerings to the god were channelised through these pastors. This did created problems and hence, scholars of religion took a different stand and banned worship of an idol.

Religion: Universal Brotherhood

Indian philosophy considers that there is only 1 religion in the universe. Therefore, there is no need to name a religion. This aspect was brought out and preached by Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji believed that Indian philosophy states that religion has 2 parts. The first part is philosophy. Philosophy gives general outline and direction for behaviour of persons while they are working in a society. This part is universal and eternal. Swamiji stated that Indian name for this is “Vedanta” The second part is laws and rules for specific situation. This is named as “Smriti” Smriti is neither universal nor eternal. Minimum factors governing Smriti are place, time and society. Smriti guides people in society in respect of behaviour in society under different circumstances. Vedanta and Smriti form a religion. Therefore, it is incorrect to compare religions based on Smriti. On same analogy no religion can be superior or inferior to any other religion. This is understandable because Vedanta part, is exactly same to every religion. The name differs only because of Smriti. Smriti is neither universal nor eternal. It changes with time, place and society. Hence, understanding a person based on religion is wrong.

Can India not find a solution through discussion with Pakistan?

Pakistan is demanding withdrawal of troops from Jammu and Kashmir and resolve differences on the issue. In fact this is not a big issue if both parties wish to find a solution. It appears that politicians on both sides and Pakistan army have no interest in solving this problem. This is the best way to fool citizens, divert their attention from real day to day problems and make them ready to sacrifice.

I am not as big a culprit as projected by opposition parties:

Can China be a Friend of any Country?:

China is one of the oldest civilisation and Chinese people maintain values of life. Thanks to the Buddhist culture. However, rulers are different. They have been concentrating on fastest development (not the fastest as possible). Rulers are ready to compromise with ethics and all values.

Accounting Karma:

Karma account is not for an individual karma. Whenever a person does some thing he/she thinks about many other things. May be some actions are simultaneous. Accounting is done for a group of karma including thinking.

Geography of India is ideal for human settlements. It is well protected from north towards south wind, big rivers with perennial water source like mount Himalaya, seasonal rainfall, forests, clay supporting growth of food grains, year round bearable climate etc.

India on verge of zero population growth:

India followed democratic methods for controlling population growth. Education had been primary tool used for changing minds of people. This had been a slow process but has paid returns. Now it is expected that overall growth shall be around 16 per thousand during the year 2010. Final results of census shall give the right figures. Data collected from 3 sources is appended below.

Deadline for NATO Forces:

USA and NATO Forces would be out of Afghanistan by 2014. However, true picture would be known only by end of year 2014. This is clear from the various statement seen in news papers.
